Following Easter this year and continuing to Pentecost will be an All-Church study. The focus: Who is the Holy Spirit? Even though Christians have acknowledged this third person of the Holy Trinity, many have never taken time to get to know who the Spirit is and what the Spirit’s role is to be in the lives of Christians. This small groups will meet at a wide variety of times during the week beginning April 8 and concluding the week of May 13. Sign-ups will begin mid-March.
Lent is a time of reflection within the Christian Tradition. It begins with Ash Wednesday and continues for forty days (excluding Sundays) through Holy Week. During this time, we reflect upon the temptation of Christ in the wilderness which was his preparation for his earthly ministry.
Thursday from 5:30-6:45 PM, we will walk with Jesus during his time of preparation. The class begins with a lite dinner and is followed with a time of study, reflection, and discussion. This year we will look at the temptations of Jesus, what they were, how he combatted them, and what we can learn for our lives today.
We will conclude in time for choir practice at 7 PM.
