Miriam was born in Afton, WY and raised on a farm near New Sharon, IA. She has had dual careers as an RN and
a musician and was also a Race Director for 10 years. Her daughters are Lesley, Senior Legal Counsel at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston, MA and Vanessa, Risk and Safety Coordinator at Breckenridge Grand Vacations in Breckenridge, CO. Her husband is Tom, retired from the Navy and from Radiology at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Miriam was a substitute organist at FPC for many years before becoming the permanent musician. She has been playing at FPC for over 42 years!
Miriam enjoys spending time with family and working in the yard. Plus, she’d never say no to a fresh tomato from the garden (but preferably an Iowa garden).
